St.Lawrence Day Soccer

St.Lawrence -0 vs Holy Cross- 0
The match on St.Lawrence Day 2009, between Holy Cross and St.Lawrence is the first time that I can ever remember that the Laurentians weren't vicitories on St. Lawrence Day. I would have to say the game had it's moments but overall the contest was very weak on the technical skills of the game. Both teams lacked any form of finishing touch as the score would indicate. Neither squad used the width of the field to develope plays. Both of these teams are very strong down the middle and they must go to the outside to break down their opponents defense. That just didn't happen and as a result much of the play was in the middle of the pitch. I'm sure Holy Cross must be satified with the end result.

The 2009 Home Coming brought hugh numbers to the field despite the miserable weather

Isn't this what St.Lawrence soccer is all about?

The Laurentians have new beautiful goals and nets installed

One thing I love and always will be a supporter of, is the kids being allowed on the field before and during half time.
