Broadcasting Scedule Revised

CHCM 740 AM and Radio Newfoundland - 930 AM

There's a steady diet of soccer in the capital city area this week with the National Men's and Women's Championships beginning tomorrow. Games will take place at King George the Fifth pitch as well as Mount Pearl and CBS. St.Lawrence and the Feildians are representing the province in the men's competition with the Laurentians' first game scheduled tomorrow evening at 7:30 against Ontario at King George the Fifth. For the women, EPR Kirby/The Dock takes on Sherbrooke at 5:00 Thursday in their first game. Holy Cross is also entered in the Jubilee Cup. Meantime, the Prince Edward Island women's team has withdrawn from the tournament which means the teams scheduled to play PEI in the round robin, will be declared winners, by default. Most of the Newfoundland and Labrador games will be broadcast on Steele Communications' stations, CHCM in Marystown, and Radio Newfoundland 930 with VOCM's Russ Murphy and Gord Dunphy, including tomorrow night's opening game between the St. Lawrence Laurentians and Ontario at King George the Fifth pitch.
