CBS Planning for 2010 Challenge Cup Season

CBS is in the planning stages of fielding a Challenge Cup Team for the 2010 season. A three person management committee has been struck to see this happen. The committee consists of Chairperson Bruce Miller, and vice chairpersons Cal Randell (past president of the CBS Soccer Association) and Gerard Kenny (director of Senior Soccer for the CBS Soccer Association). The team will be called “Strikers FC” and will play out of Topsail Field that will get a $1.3 million makeover.


STRIKERS FC is a newly formed Challenge Cup Soccer team that is based in Conception Bay South. We presently require the services of a HEAD COACH.This will be a volunteer position. We are looking for an individual with recent experience as a coach or player at the Senior Soccer level (Intermediate or Challenge Cup) to assemble a team for the 2010 season. Attributes required include superior dedication, leadership, motivation, perseverance and communication skills. A technical background in soccer would be an asset.
