Holy Cross had a "Feild" day
Veteran Holy Cross player Jeremy Babstock scored his fourth and
fifth goals of the season as Holy Cross had a field day trouncing the Feildians by a 6-1 score.
Holy Cross scored early in this match and they scored often. Steve Delong hit the back of the net at the 8 minute mark; Chris Pope dented the twine at the 16 minute mark and Holy Cross's Pat Reddick had the Feildians goalkeeper retrieving the ball the back of his net again at the 20 minute mark. The score at half time was 3-0 for Cross.
The second half wasn't any better for the Feildians. Babstock scored at the 57 & 87 minute mark. Challenge Cup leading sniper Tyler Forsey notched one as he got his 16th of the season at the 84 minute mark. Hassan Kamara scored the Feildians lone goal at the 90th minute mark courtesy of a penalty shot given to his team by referee Mike Howlett.

Mount Pearl blank the Laurentians' 1-0
The Mount Pearl / St. Lawrence contest was a hard fought battle. Both teams marked their opponent very close and knocked each other around pretty good. The game was a defensive affair with both teams goalies and their fullbacks playing rather strong. Actually, because of the physical nature of the contest and the extra curricular of yapping, there were eight yellows handed out in the game; five of them went to Mount Pearl. It was the sort of a match that you could sense that one goal would do the trick on it's opponent and that's exactly what happened. At the 85 minute mark, Mark Reddy got his boot on a volley of a shot that was struck from just outside the 18 yard line and he scored a dandy. His shot gave the Laurentian keeper Douglas no chance at all. The Laurentians pressed for the remaining five minute but to no avail.
