Planning the Season

As NLSA Commissioner, I will be meeting with player representatives from all potential 2013 Challenge Cup teams and the NL Canada Games team next week. I want to talk to the players and get their take on senior soccer in the province. I feel the time is now to get more player input into what direction we want the future of senior soccer to go in our province. Each club will be permitted to send three player reps to the meeting. The meeting is scheduled for 1 PM on Feb. 23, at the Indoor Soccer Facility in St. John's.In March, I will have a second Challenge Cup Meeting. This time the meeting will involve all Challenge Cup Teams, their coaches and their club reps. As well, I will get their take on the future direction of soccer and the 2013 season.
In March, I am also hoping to travel to St. Pierre and meet with their soccer delegates and get a better relationship connected with the French Islands.
These meetings will be followed up by the NLSA Spring Planning Meeting in April. Then, hopefully we will be on the field in May.
