Holy Cross: 5 vs NL Canada Games: 1

Forsey quickly becoming  a wrecking force

Holy Cross Crusaders sent the young NL Games team a message in Molson Challenge Cup Soccer action defeating the Under -18 squad be a convincing 5 - 1 score. Tyler Forcey who is fast becoming the most explicit dominating striker in Newfoundland notched a hat trick in the match. It was a  combination of Forsey's speed and his dynamic shoot that left the youth team in distraught. Forcey opened the scoring for Cross at the 31 minute mark and Ryan Dawe from the Games team replied on a pretty individual play at the 51 minute mark by moving around Holy Cross defender  Andrew Stanford while Dawe shielded the ball beautifully. Stanford rebounded for his miscue by scoring himself and putting the Holy Cross team up a goal with a super header at the 63 minute mark. Holy Cross's, Jake Warren increased the margin 3-1 at the 78 minute mark. It was the last ten ten minutes of the contest that Tyler Forsey became a one man wrecking crew. He scored his 20th and 21st goals of the season on shots that totally blew by the NL Canada Games goalie, Thomas Pieroway.
