Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame adds sevenFormer players Neil Ellett, John Limniatis, Joan McEachern and Mike Stojanovic headed the list of 2009 inductees to Canada's Soccer Hall of Fame announced yesterday. They will be inducted June 6 along with referee Bob Sawtell, administrator Derek Wisdom, historian Colin Jose. Also to be posthumously honoured with the Pioneer Award winner is former player, coach and official Ted Slade. The Team of Distinction Award winner is the 1986 Canadian FIFA World Cup team, the only national side to make it to soccer's grandest stage.
