Holy Cross Masters
City Champions Declared
The Holy Cross Masters are the 2013 City Champions. Holy Cross defeated Mount Pearl in a best of three series. Holy Cross defeated Mount Pearl in game one on penalty shots after the game had concluded on to a scoreless draw. Mount Pearl defeated Holy Cross 3 -2 in game two. While both teams were knotted at 2 -2 in game three after regulation time. Holy Cross then defeated Mount Pearl on PK's, 3-1 to win the St. John's League Championship.
Mean while, Mount Pearl had earlier in July won the NLSA Masters Qualifier defeating Holy Cross on PK's and earned the right to represent the NLSA at the 2013 Eastern Canadian Championship in Quebec. Mount Pearl travelled to the Eastern Canadian championship in Quebec in September and won the tournament and and are currently the reigning Eastern Canadian Master Champions.
