Jake Stanford, the coach of the defending Challenge Cup Champions Holy Cross, has stepped down as head coach to assume 
head coaching duties with the NLSA "Girls" Canada Games Team. Stanford had been the coach of the Holy Cross Men's team for the past three years. He led Holy Cross to the Provincial Championship each of these years.
Johnny Breen, who is Holy Cross's newly appointed coach is no slouch when it comes to Provincial Soccer in Newfoundland. He was a standout during his playing days. As a coach, he also has very impressive credentials and his certification makes him nationally qualified.
