The Laurentians today may hay very well have played showing the side effects of St.Lawrence Day and the Come Home Year festivities but somehow they found a way to win. The Feildians again today played their usual style of game. They ran well, they played the ball well, but they couldn't finish. At times the Laurentians looked sluggish, during the contest, as I am sure a number of them they had to sweat the demons out of themselves. In the end they were exhausted but they were rewarded for their efforts. Clinton Edwards, Marc Pittman and Rudy Norman were the Laurentians best performers. Chris Roche had a good game for the Feildians. John Douglas was awarded 2 cautions on the same play and as a result was sent to the dressing room by referee Kevin Pittman. The Laurentians will resume play on Wednesday, August 5 in St.Lawrence against the NL Canada Games Team.
