The 2009 Award Winners are:

1.Victoria Ralph - Wrestling - Junior Female Athlete of the Year

2. Matthew Young - Figure Skating -Junior Male Athlete of the Year

3. Bev Power - Figure Skating - Executive of the Year

4. The Rock Rugby Team - Team of the Year

5. Nicole Adams - Soccer - Senior Female Athlete of the Year

6. Frank Walsh - Rugby - Senior Male Athlete of the Year




Patrick Parfrey is Head Coach of the Rock.His team has won an amazing three National Gold Medals in the past four years.




When I spoke with Jonathon Crowe he said, "Gord your not going to make me run up them pipes?" He was referring to the flunnen pipes in the West Brook. When I was coach of the St.Lawrence Laurentians,he did some video coverage for CBC of the players in training for me and running up this hill. Obviously,he never forgot it.

I'm very proud of my younger brother, Shane. He has done a lot to restore respect to the BPSA.




Sitting at the table in front of us was Junior Edwards and his wife Yvonne. They were there in support and as proud parents of their son, Sean.

Actually, Junior did confirm to me that he will be coaching the Laurentians in 2009. Congratulations Jr.
