Brin Peninsula Summer Games Coach Gets Five Years Suspension For Alleged Assault

Burin Peninsula Soccer Association coach Walter Forsey was head coach of the BPSA Under 16 Summer Games Team. Forsey has been given a hefty five-year suspension and has been relieved of all his coaching duties by the NLSA. Coach Forsey allegedly assaulted a player from the Grand Bank intermediate team while his Summer Games Team was playing a Burin Peninsula league game. Mr. Forsey now has the right to appeal. The RCMP from the Burin District are investigating the matter.
